Harte Vintage Tear Drop 0.82m Pedestal Light - Cast Iron & Steel

At 0.82 metres, this pedestal light stands freely on its own base rather than fixing to a wall or pier, part of Harte's Vintage Tear Drop range within the Goose Neck collection, its curved arm and tear drop head taking their form from old farmyard lamps.

Cast iron and galvanised steel

Cast iron and galvanised steel give this pedestal its weight and stability at ground level. Harte says these cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and installation related damage. It is finished in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

A clear polycarbonate lens diffuses the light from the tear drop head, mounted on a fixed pedestal base rather than a wall bracket or pier plate. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician for the wiring.

Where it works best

Its free standing base suits spots where there's no wall or pier to mount to, such as the corner of a patio, a border along a path, or either side of a set of steps, giving low level light without needing existing masonry to fix to.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This pedestal light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, founded by Willie Harte in 1983 and now run by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, as well as private gardens and estates across Ireland and the UK.
