Harte Victorian Traditional 3.5m Lamp Post - Cast Iron

At 3.5 metres, this is the tallest lamp post in Harte's Traditional range, an ornate fitting built to light larger open spaces, long driveways and grand homes where a shorter post would be out of scale with the setting.

Cast iron construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the post is fitted with polycarbonate glazing rather than glass and designed for an E27 LED bulb. It comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colour choices available.

How it works

Set at its full height, the post spreads light over a wide area, suited to open ground where the light needs to reach well beyond the base of the post. A fixed base and mains wiring are needed, best installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its scale suits larger open spaces, long driveways and grand properties, where the post itself becomes part of the architecture of the approach rather than just a fitting along the way.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business is now run by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
