Harte Victorian Traditional 2.3m Lamp Post - Cast Iron

Standing 2.3 metres tall, this is Harte's best selling lamp post, sized to suit driveways, walkways and patio areas that need a proper post rather than a lower pedestal light. Its design follows the classic Victorian lamp post that the whole Traditional range takes its cue from.

Cast iron construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the post carries a lantern finished in the standard gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Set at full height, the post throws light down and around over a wide area. For driveways, Harte recommends spacing posts around 8 to 12 metres apart to keep the lit area even along the full length. A fixed base and mains wiring are needed, and installation should be handled by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its popularity comes from its versatility, working equally well lining a driveway, marking a walkway, or standing at the corner of a patio, at a scale that suits most house sizes without overwhelming a smaller garden.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has cast iron and steel lighting at its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business is now carried forward by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
