Harte Victorian Traditional 1.4m Lamp Post - Cast Iron

Standing 1.4 metres tall, this lamp post is the shortest full post in Harte's Traditional range, closer in scale to a tall pedestal light than the range's larger driveway posts. It takes its design from Victorian era lamp posts, scaled down for smaller spaces.

Cast iron construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the post carries a lantern glazed with hand cut glass and fitted with an E27 bulb holder. It comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colours available on request.

How it works

At this height, light spreads over a smaller area than Harte's taller posts, giving a more focused pool of light rather than the wide reach of a full sized driveway lamp post. It needs a fixed base and mains wiring, best fitted by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

It suits walkways, patio areas or spots calling for lower level lighting, and can be used on a driveway too, though the light spread is more contained than one of Harte's taller posts.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. The business was founded by Willie Harte and is carried forward today by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
