Harte Victorian Traditional 1.1m Pedestal Light - Cast Iron

This 1.1 metre pedestal light works as a statement piece for walkways, flower beds or any spot calling for lighting set lower than a full lamp post. Beyond standing on its own base, it is also designed to sit on top of a low wall or pier, which sets it apart from other pedestal lights in Harte's Traditional range.

Cast iron construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the lantern is glazed with hand cut glass and fitted with an E27 bulb holder. It comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Because it can be fixed to a wall or pier top as well as a ground base, it effectively extends the height it sits at, which is useful where the surrounding wall or steps already add some elevation of their own.

Where it works best

It suits walkways, flower beds, low walls or piers and formal gardens, often positioned near steps or a change in level where a mix of pedestal and wall mounted lighting is being used together.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business continues under Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
