Harte Victorian Traditional 0.6m Hanging Light With Chain - Galvanised Steel

This 0.6 metre hanging light is the larger of Harte's two chain hung lanterns, giving more presence under a veranda or porch roof than the smaller version in the same range. It carries the same Victorian lantern design used throughout the Traditional range.

Galvanised steel and cast iron construction

Built from galvanised steel with cast iron detailing, it hangs on 300mm of galvanised chain from a ceiling rose fitted to the roof. Hand cut glass glazing and an E27 bulb holder complete the fitting, finished in the standard gloss black with other colours available on request.

How it works

Hanging clear of the roofline on its chain, the lantern spreads light down and outward in every direction, giving an ambient glow beneath a covered area rather than a directional beam.

Where it works best

Its larger size suits verandas, gazebos and porches with enough headroom for a hanging fitting, wherever a wall light would feel less in keeping with the covered space.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business is carried on today by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says its lighting has been installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
