Harte Victorian Style Medium 2.47m Double Headed Lamp Post - Cast Iron

This 2.47 metre lamp post is the more compact of Harte's two double headed posts in the Traditional range, scaled down from an original Victorian design while keeping two lantern heads on a single cast iron post.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The post and both lantern heads are cast in iron, with galvanised steel used through the construction, and each head is glazed with hand cut glass lenses set around E27 bulb holders. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light comes from two separate E27 bulbs behind hand cut glass rather than one, so this post spreads light over a wider area than a single headed post of similar height, without adding a second fixture. It needs mains wiring and a fixed base, and a qualified electrician should carry out the installation.

Where it works best

At just under 2.5 metres, this double headed post suits driveways, garden paths and mid sized properties where two points of light from one post work better than a single head. It reads well positioned at a junction in a path or driveway.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, when Willie Harte set up the workshop now carried forward by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam.
