Harte Victorian Style Large 3.5m Triple Headed Lamp Post - Cast Iron

Standing 3.5 metres tall, this triple headed lamp post is one of the largest pieces in Harte's Traditional range, scaled down from an original Victorian design but still substantial enough to anchor a major entrance. Three lantern heads sit at the top of a single cast iron post.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The post and its three lantern heads are cast iron, with galvanised steel used in the construction for durability, and each head is glazed with hand cut glass lenses set around E27 bulb holders. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

With three separate E27 bulbs behind hand cut glass, light comes from three points around the top of the post rather than one, giving a wide, even spread suited to a larger area rather than a tight pool near the base. It needs mains wiring and a substantial fixed base, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Given its height and three heads, this lamp post works best as a feature at the entrance to a driveway or estate, or at the centre of a large courtyard where it can be seen and appreciated from a distance. It's typically installed as a standalone piece rather than in a repeated run.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Willie Harte founded Harte Outdoor Lighting in New Ross, County Wexford, in 1983, and the business is now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its cast iron and steel lighting is installed at Adare Manor, the K Club and Áras an Uachtaráin.
