Harte Victorian Style 3m Globe Lamp Post - Cast Iron

This 3 metre lamp post is a tall, single headed piece in Harte's Heritage Globe range, giving the classic Victorian lamp post silhouette real height for larger driveways and grounds. It's modelled on an original Victorian design rather than a modern reinterpretation.

Cast iron globe design

The post and globe head are cast in iron, with galvanised steel used in the construction, and a clear polycarbonate lens sits inside the globe head to protect the light source while remaining visible from every angle. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads out through the full globe rather than being aimed down in a single beam, so at 3 metres it works as a visible marker along a route as much as a light source close to the ground. It needs mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician handle the connection.

Where it works best

At this height, the post suits long driveways, estate entrances and open parkland where a shorter light would struggle to register. It's often used spaced at intervals along a drive or as a matched pair at an entrance.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, when Willie Harte founded the business now run by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam.
