Harte Victorian Large 1.47m Traditional Wall Light With Decorative Arm - Steel

At 1.47 metres, this large wall light is scaled down directly from an original Victorian lamp post design rather than a wall lantern, giving it a taller, more architectural profile than the rest of Harte's wall mounted range. Its lantern is carried on a decorative arm in the same style.

Steel and cast iron construction

Built primarily from galvanised steel with cast iron used in its construction, it is fitted with a polycarbonate lens rather than glass, which keeps the light source protected from the weather while remaining visible from a distance. It takes an E27 bulb and comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Because it is built to lamp post proportions, the arm holds the lantern well clear of the wall, spreading light out over a wider area than a smaller wall light would manage from the same fixing point.

Where it works best

Its scale suits larger walls, gable ends or entrances on bigger properties, where a standard sized wall light would look out of proportion against the building.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business is carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says its lighting has been installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
