Harte Victorian Globe 0.42m Pier Light For Narrow Pier Caps - Cast Iron

This 0.42 metre pier light is sized for narrow pier caps, giving gateways and boundary piers a small globe head lantern where a wider fitting wouldn't fit the cap. It's part of Harte's Heritage Globe range, modelled on an original Victorian lamp post.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The globe head is cast iron, with galvanised steel used in its construction, and a clear polycarbonate lens protects the light source while keeping it visible through the globe from any angle. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads out through the globe in every direction, so a pair of these lights on narrow piers reads as two small, glowing markers rather than a bright floodlit entrance. It needs mains wiring run to the pier and a narrow, flat fixing surface, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Designed for narrow pier caps, this light suits smaller gateposts, garden walls and boundary piers where the cap itself doesn't leave room for a larger fitting. It's usually fitted in matching pairs either side of a gate or entrance.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has been based in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, founded by Willie Harte and now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte.
