Harte Victorian 3m Traditional Lamp Post - Cast Iron

Standing an impressive 3 metres tall, this lamp post is one of the largest fittings in Harte's Traditional range, built to light driveways and larger open spaces where reach matters more than a compact footprint. Its lantern styling is modelled on original Victorian lamp post design.

Cast iron construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the post carries a lantern glazed with a hand cut glass lens. It comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Set at full height, the lantern throws light down and outward over a wide area, suited to lighting the ground well beyond the base of the post itself. It needs a fixed base and mains wiring, which should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 3 metres, this lamp post is built for driveways, entrance avenues and larger gardens, where a taller post gives a wider spread of light than a shorter pedestal or wall light could manage on its own.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. The business was founded by Willie Harte and is now carried forward by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
