Harte Victorian 1.4m Globe Lamp Post - Cast Iron

This 1.4 metre lamp post comes from Harte's Heritage range, modelled directly on an original Victorian lamp post design. Its cast iron frame and rounded globe head give it a softer, more traditional silhouette than a straight sided post, suited to period properties and gardens where the look matters as much as the light.

Cast iron globe design

The post is cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction for added strength, and finished with a clear polycarbonate lens inside the globe head, so the light source stays protected from the weather while remaining visible from every angle. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads outward through the full globe rather than being directed down in a single beam, making it a good choice where you want ambient light around the post itself rather than a tight pool on the ground. As with all Harte lamp posts, it needs mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician handle the connection.

Where it works best

At 1.4 metres, this globe lamp post works well marking a gateway, lining a driveway in pairs, or standing at the corner of a lawn or courtyard where a period silhouette matters. It pairs naturally with wrought iron gates, cast railings, or reclaimed brick and stone.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. The Heritage range takes its design directly from an original Victorian lamp post, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
