Harte Victorian 1.05m Globe Wall Light With Decorative Arm - Cast Iron

Larger than Harte's standard wall light, this 1.05 metre fixture pairs a decorative cast arm with a full sized Victorian globe head, giving wall mounted lighting a presence closer to a lamp post. It draws its design from the same original Victorian lamp post as the rest of the Heritage Globe range.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The arm and globe are cast iron, with galvanised steel reinforcing the construction, and a clear polycarbonate lens sits inside the globe to protect the light source while keeping it visible from every side. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

The decorative arm holds the globe well clear of the wall, so light spreads around the fixture itself rather than pooling on the surface behind it. It runs from mains power and needs a solid wall fixing capable of carrying its weight, so installation should be done by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At over a metre tall, this wall light suits larger facades, gable ends and entrance porches where a smaller fixture would look out of proportion. It's a good match for stone or brick buildings with generous wall space either side of the door.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Willie Harte founded Harte Outdoor Lighting in New Ross, County Wexford, in 1983, and the workshop is now run by Liz Harte with the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its lighting is installed at Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, along with private homes and commercial properties across Ireland and the UK.
