Harte Victorian 0.97m Traditional Wall Light with Decorative Arm - Cast Iron

Standing just under a metre, this 0.97 metre wall light is one of the larger arm mounted fittings in Harte's Traditional range, suited to entrances with more presence than a standard front door. Like others in the range, its lantern is carried on a decorative cast iron arm.

Decorative cast iron arm

The arm is cast in iron, extending the lantern out from the wall in the classic Victorian manner. It is glazed with hand cut glass and fitted with an E27 bulb holder, finished in the standard gloss black with other colours available on request.

How it works

Held clear of the wall on its arm, the lantern casts light outward and down across a wider area than a flush fitting, which suits taller doorways or entrances where the light needs to reach further from the wall.

Where it works best

Its scale suits grand entrances, larger front doors, garden walls and shop fronts, anywhere the doorway or wall is bigger than average and a smaller wall light would look undersized.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. The business was founded by Willie Harte and is carried forward today by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says the same cast iron construction sits behind lighting installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
