Harte Victorian 0.83m Traditional Pier Light For Flat Pier Caps - Cast Iron

This 0.83 metre pier light is the largest flat cap pier fitting in Harte's Traditional range, drawing on the same Victorian lantern design used throughout the Heritage collection but built for a more substantial pier.

Cast iron and steel construction

Cast in iron with galvanised steel used in its construction, the lantern is glazed with a hand cut glass lens that gives it a slightly irregular, handmade character. It comes in the standard gloss black finish, with other colours available upon request.

How it works

Mounted flat on top of the pier, the light spreads outward in every direction rather than being aimed, giving an even glow around the entrance itself. It needs mains wiring run up through the pier, which is best handled by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At this height, the light suits larger entrance piers found on bigger properties, driveways with substantial gateposts, or garden walls with wide flat pier caps, wherever the scale of the pier calls for a larger lantern on top.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has cast iron and steel lighting from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983. Founded by Willie Harte, the business continues under Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte, and Harte says its lighting has been installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
