Harte Victorian 0.79m Globe Pier Light For Flat Pier Caps - Cast Iron

This 0.79 metre pier light is the taller of Harte's two flat pier cap globe lights, designed to sit on top of a wider or taller pier where a larger globe head suits the proportions better. It carries the same Victorian lamp post styling as the rest of the Heritage Globe range.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The globe head is cast iron, with galvanised steel used in its construction for extra strength, and a clear polycarbonate lens keeps the light source protected from the weather while staying visible from all sides. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads outward through the full globe rather than down in one direction, so this pier light reads as a glowing marker rather than a floodlight, well suited to framing an entrance. It needs mains wiring run to the pier and a flat fixing surface, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

At 0.79 metres, this pier light suits taller entrance piers, gateways and boundary walls, particularly where the piers themselves are a feature of the property. It's commonly fitted in matching pairs either side of a driveway or gate.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has been based in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, founded by Willie Harte and now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte. Harte says its cast iron lighting is installed at Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
