Harte Victorian 0.65m Globe Pedestal Light - Cast Iron

This 0.65 metre pedestal light is one of the shorter freestanding pieces in Harte's Heritage Globe range, bringing the same Victorian lamp post styling down to path and border height. It stands on its own base rather than mounting to a wall or pier.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

The post and globe head are cast in iron, with galvanised steel used in the construction for added strength, and a clear polycarbonate lens keeps the light source protected while remaining visible through the globe. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads out through the globe in every direction rather than down a single beam, so it works as a low, ambient marker rather than a bright task light. It needs mains wiring and a fixed base, and a qualified electrician should carry out the connection.

Where it works best

At 0.65 metres, this pedestal light suits low borders, path edges and steps where a taller lamp post would be out of scale. It's often used in short runs along a path or either side of a low gate.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, when Willie Harte set up the workshop that Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam, now carry forward. Harte says the same construction sits behind lighting installed at Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club.
