Harte Victorian 0.65m Globe Hanging Light With Chain - Galvanised Steel

At 0.65 metres, this is the larger of Harte's two Victorian Globe hanging lights, suspended from a chain and designed to hang overhead rather than sit on a post or bracket. It shares its globe head design with the rest of the Heritage range, taken from an original Victorian lamp post.

Galvanised steel and cast iron construction

The globe head is cast iron, and galvanised steel is used through the chain and hanging components for strength and weather resistance. A clear polycarbonate lens sits within the globe, giving good light diffusion while keeping the fitting's vintage look. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads around the full globe rather than being aimed downward, so this fixture gives a soft, even glow to the area beneath it rather than a hard pool of light. It requires mains wiring and a secure ceiling or bracket fixing overhead, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

This size suits pergolas, covered patios and larger porches where there's height enough to hang a light and let the chain read as part of the design. It also works well over an outdoor dining or seating area.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has worked from New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, when Willie Harte founded the business; today it's carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, Jack and Sam Harte.
