Harte Victorian 0.48m Traditional Downturned Wall Light With Decorative Arm - Cast Iron

This 0.48 metre wall light has a downturned head carried on a decorative cast iron arm, a design that directs light down toward the doorstep rather than out at eye level. It belongs to the Traditional range within Harte's Heritage collection, modelled on original Victorian lighting.

Decorative cast iron arm

Cast in iron and 0.25 metres wide, the arm extends the lantern away from the wall before curving the head downward. It is glazed with hand cut glass and fitted with an E27 bulb holder, finished in the standard gloss black with other colours available on request.

How it works

Because the head points down, light falls in a pool directly below the fitting rather than spreading outward across the wall, which is why it tends to sit well right beside a door. Many customers fit two, one on either side, for a symmetrical look at the entrance.

Where it works best

At 0.48 metres, it suits front and back doors, porches and any spot where you want light concentrated on the step or path immediately below rather than lighting the surrounding wall.
