Harte Large Georgian Style 1.27m Wall Light - Cast Iron & Steel

At 1.27 metres, this is the largest wall light in Harte's Courtyard range, a substantial fixture for facades and entrances that call for more scale than the range's standard wall lights. It shares the same Georgian inspired, cylindrical design in cast iron and steel, built up to a size that suits grander buildings.

Cast iron and steel build

Built from cast iron and steel, it's made to keep its shape and finish outdoors for years. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements of its products carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, copper and aluminium products, and damage caused during installation. It comes in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Cylindrical polycarbonate glazing spreads light from an E27 bulb across the wall, while the ornate cast iron cap above encloses the housing, cutting glare and directing light down the wall face. It mounts on a wall bracket and requires a mains wiring connection, and given its size, we recommend a qualified electrician confirms the wall fixing is suitable before installation.

Where it works best

Its larger scale suits substantial entrances, gable walls or facades on bigger houses, period buildings or commercial premises, where a standard sized wall light would be lost. Mounted either side of a large front door or gateway, it gives a strong, symmetrical result.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This wall light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, producing cast iron outdoor lighting since 1983. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private homes, hospitality venues and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
