Harte Georgian Style 1.39m Lamp Post - Cast Iron & Steel

At 1.39 metres, this is the shortest lamp post in Harte's Courtyard range, standing between the pedestal lights and the taller lamp posts in scale. It's built from cast iron and steel in the same Georgian inspired, cylindrical form used across the range, sized for spaces where a full height lamp post would be too much.

Cast iron and steel build

Cast in iron and steel, it's made to remain outdoors permanently without the structure or finish breaking down. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements of its products carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, copper and aluminium products, and damage caused during installation. It's finished in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

Light spreads through cylindrical polycarbonate glazing, while the ornate cast iron cap above encloses the lamp housing, reducing light pollution and directing light down onto the path or ground beneath. It's fitted for an E27 bulb and needs a mains wiring connection and a fixed base, work we recommend a qualified electrician carries out.

Where it works best

Its shorter height suits a garden path, a side entrance or a spot close to seating, anywhere lower, more intimate light is preferred over the reach of a taller lamp post. It also works well grouped along a shorter path where a run of consistent low lighting is wanted.

This lamp post comes from Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer in New Ross, County Wexford, making cast iron outdoor lighting since 1983. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private gardens and estates across Ireland and the UK.
