Harte Georgian Style 0.94m Wall Light - Cast Iron & Steel

Close to a metre tall, this 0.94 metre wall light is a larger scale piece within Harte's Courtyard range, suited to grander entrances and taller wall spans than the range's smaller wall lights. It keeps the same Georgian inspired, cylindrical profile, built up in cast iron and steel.

Cast iron and steel build

Made from cast iron and steel, it's built to withstand years of outdoor exposure. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements of its products carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, copper and aluminium products, and damage caused during installation. It comes in gloss black as standard, with other colours available on request.

How it works

An E27 bulb sits behind cylindrical polycarbonate glazing that spreads the light, while the ornate cast iron cap above encloses the housing, reducing glare and directing light downward along the wall. It mounts on a wall bracket and needs a mains wiring connection, best fitted by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its larger scale suits taller walls, a house facade, a gable end, or either side of a substantial front door, where a smaller wall light would look undersized. It holds its own on period buildings as well as larger modern houses.

Harte, Irish craft since 1983

This wall light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, making cast iron outdoor lighting since 1983. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, as well as private homes and hospitality venues across Ireland and the UK.
