Harte Georgian Style 0.58m Wall Light - Cast Iron & Steel

This 0.58 metre wall light takes the same Georgian inspired, cylindrical form found across Harte's Courtyard range and adapts it for mounting directly onto a wall rather than a pier, using a wall bracket rather than a pier top fixing. It suits an entrance, porch or exterior wall where a fixed point of light is needed rather than a freestanding post.

Cast iron and steel build

It's made from cast iron and steel, chosen for their resistance to weather over a long service life outdoors. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements of its products carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, copper and aluminium products, and damage caused during installation. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

The cylindrical polycarbonate glazing spreads the light from an E27 bulb, while the ornate cast iron cap encloses the housing above, limiting glare and directing light down the face of the wall. Fitting it requires a wall mounted bracket and a mains wiring connection, which we recommend leaving to a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Wall mounting suits spots where a post or pier isn't practical, either side of a front door, on a porch wall, or along an exterior wall where consistent, evenly spaced light is wanted. Its Georgian detailing sits comfortably against stone, brick or render.

Harte Outdoor Lighting has made cast iron and steel lighting like this from its workshop in New Ross, County Wexford, since 1983, a business founded by Willie Harte and now carried on by Liz Harte and the next generation, including Jack and Sam Harte.
