At 0.53 metres, the BRP1 is the larger of Harte's two BARE pier lights, built for taller or more substantial piers where a bigger fixture reads in proportion. Like the rest of the BARE range, it trades ornate cast ironwork for the plain, geometric lines of galvanised steel.
Galvanised steel and hand cut glass
The BRP1 is made from galvanised steel with hand cut glass panels, spreading light more broadly across its larger surface area than a smaller fitting would.
How it works
It sits on top of a pier or raised platform and needs a mains wiring connection run up to the fixing point. Given its larger size, it suits piers built to take a heavier fixture, and we recommend a qualified electrician handle the wiring connection.
Where it works best
Its greater height and broader spread suit taller entrance piers, elevated platforms or larger gateways, where a smaller light would look undersized. It works well as a statement pair at a main entrance rather than a minor side gate.
Harte, Irish craft since 1983
This pier light is made by Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, producing outdoor lighting since 1983. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private estates and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
