Harte Contemporary 0.29m Bulkhead Wall Light - Galvanised Steel

At 0.29 metres, the BRW3 is a compact bulkhead wall light built for houses with a cleaner, more contemporary look than Harte's traditional ranges. It sits flush against the wall rather than projecting on a bracket, with a lantern shaped glass housing that keeps a low, unobtrusive profile by a door or window.

Galvanised steel and hand cut glass

The body is made from galvanised steel, chosen for the BARE range's straighter, more geometric lines in place of the ornate ironwork found on Harte's period pieces. The glass panels are hand cut, giving the lit face a subtle texture rather than a flat, uniform glow.

How it works

Being flush mounted, the fitting sits close to the wall with no bracket standing it away from the surface, which suits doorways and passageways where a projecting light would get in the way. It requires connection to mains wiring, and we recommend a qualified electrician handle the wiring connection.

Where it works best

Its small scale and flush fit make it well suited to a spot beside a back door, outside a patio doorway, or anywhere a low, close fitting light is more practical than a projecting one. Its clean lined, contemporary form pairs naturally with modern render or glazing rather than period stonework.

This light comes from Harte Outdoor Lighting, a family run manufacturer based in New Ross, County Wexford, making outdoor lighting since 1983. Harte says its lighting is installed at notable Irish locations including Áras an Uachtaráin, Adare Manor and the K Club, alongside private homes, estates and commercial projects across Ireland and the UK.
