Harte Classic Railway Style 2.73m Lamp Post - Cast Iron & Steel

This 2.73 metre lamp post is the plain cast iron and galvanised steel version of Harte's Station Master range, finished head to base in the same gloss black rather than mixing in a copper accent. It's a taller, more substantial fixture than the shorter posts in the range, with a single, unbroken silhouette that suits settings where a uniform look matters more than a contrasting detail.

Cast iron and galvanised steel build

Every part of this post, from the base to the ornate cap, is cast iron and galvanised steel, chosen for its resistance to the weather over time. The finish is a standard gloss black, with other colours available on request. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and damage caused during installation.

How it works

The cylindrical shade uses polycarbonate glazing to throw light out broadly, while the cast iron cap encloses the lamp itself and directs the light downward, cutting down on glare and unwanted light spilling upward. It needs a mains wiring connection and a fixed base, and a qualified electrician should handle the wiring.

At 2.73 metres, this post has enough presence to anchor a driveway or mark a formal entrance, and because it's finished in one material throughout, several posts placed together along an avenue or boundary read as a matching set rather than drawing attention to any one fixture.
