Standing at 1.49 metres, this cast iron and galvanised steel lamp post belongs to Harte's Station Master range, a collection of outdoor lights inspired by the lamps once used on Irish railway platforms in the late 1800s. It brings that same quiet, functional character to a driveway, garden path or entrance, built from materials chosen to last rather than trends chosen to impress.

The post is built from cast iron and galvanised steel, chosen for weather resistance over the long term. Harte says the cast iron and steel elements of its lighting carry a lifetime guarantee against cracking, bending or breaking under normal conditions, with exclusions for surface finish, electrical components, and damage caused during installation. The standard finish is gloss black, with other colours available on request.

How it works

The cylindrical shade uses polycarbonate glazing to spread light broadly, while the ornate cast iron cap sits over the lamp housing, directing light downward and reducing glare and upward light spill. It requires connection to mains wiring and a fixed base, and we recommend a qualified electrician handle the wiring connection.
