The polished nickel on this wall light has a cool, silvery tone that pairs with a 20cm acorn glass shade with subtle ribbing. The combination gives a crisp, slightly modern feel while still maintaining softness from the diffused light through the glass.
Choosing Your Finish
Polished nickel works especially well in contemporary schemes, or in rooms with cooler tones, mirrored surfaces, and glass accents. The same acorn shade is available across the range in warmer finishes too, including brass, antique brass, French gold, and satin black, if you prefer a different metal tone.
How It Works
A single E27 lamp holder sits behind the ribbed glass. The glass diffuses light evenly around the fitting, avoiding harsh glare. It's wired to Class I standards, requiring an earth connection during installation. The IP20 rating means this is for dry indoor use only and not near water sources.
Where It Works Best
This fitting suits bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and dining rooms. It looks particularly good in contemporary or minimalist spaces, or anywhere with lots of glass and chrome. Use two for symmetry either side of a bed or mirror, or fit singly in a small hallway or above a console.
Design Details
The polished nickel gives a clean, unfussy look that doesn't dominate a room visually. Combined with the subtly textured glass, the fitting has enough detail to be noticed as a design element, but not so much that it demands attention or clashes with varied decor.

Will it match my existing chrome fittings?
Polished nickel and chrome are similar but not identical. Nickel has a slightly warmer tone. If you have chrome elsewhere, you may notice a subtle difference when they're side by side.
Is nickel hard to keep clean?
Like any polished metal, nickel can show fingerprints. A soft dry cloth is all you need for regular maintenance.
What's the shade made from?
The acorn is made from clear glass with hand finished ribbing. It's durable, but do take care during assembly not to drop it.
