How does the polished brass version differ from antique brass?
The polished brass is brighter and more reflective, so it catches light more obviously. Antique brass has a warmer, aged patina. Choose based on whether you want the fitting to read as a prominent feature or blend in more.

Is the glass shade fragile?
It's hand blown but made to last. Avoid knocking it during assembly and handling, but once installed it's as durable as any glass shade. It's also available separately if you ever need a replacement.

How much brighter is this than the disc version?
