Graypants built the Scraplights collection on a simple question: could an everyday material like reclaimed corrugated cardboard become something beautiful. The Hive 9 in Natural finish answers it at a small, intimate scale, its 23cm honeycombed shade left in its raw, uncoated state so the texture and grain of the cardboard itself becomes the finish. Hand-assembled and bonded with non-toxic adhesive, then treated with a non-toxic fire retardant, it suits a bedside, hallway or reading nook where a soft amber glow and delicate shadow pattern matter more than raw brightness. It is a fitting pick for Japandi, organic modern or biophilic interiors that lean into visible, honest materials.
