Every Drum 18 begins as sheets of reclaimed corrugated cardboard, knife cut and hand assembled ring by ring by craftspeople working alongside Graypants' social work partners in the Pacific Northwest and Amsterdam studios, so no two shades are ever quite identical. Finished in white rather than natural kraft, this 45cm diameter pendant throws a softer, more neutral light than its darker sibling, well suited to bright Scandinavian or Japandi rooms, above a bedside table, breakfast nook or narrow hallway where a smaller scale is needed. Bonded with non-toxic adhesive and treated with a non-toxic fire retardant, the shade houses a fitted glass diffuser that helps even out the spread of light. It hardwires to the ceiling with a fabric cord and round canopy, drop length set at install.
