The medium Upton in white glass is the smallest of the white shades in the range, sized for pairs and clusters rather than standing alone.

This smaller white shade is available in the same four finishes as the rest of the Upton range. Antique brass keeps it warm, nickel keeps it neutral, bronze adds a darker contrast, and polished brass gives the most shine against the soft white glass.

How It Works

Takes one E27 LED bulb up to 8W (not supplied) and is dimmable with a compatible bulb and dimmer. It comes on a 1m black twist flex with a 6.5cm ceiling plate.

Where It Works Best

At this smaller size, the white Upton works well grouped in twos or threes above a kitchen table, dotted along a run of ceiling points, or used in a cluster chandelier alongside other Upton shades.

Fritz Fryer has been making lights in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, since 1982, having begun life restoring antique fittings from the UK and Europe. The white glass on this smaller Upton shade is still hand blown, and the metal fittings still hand coloured by hand, so you may see slight variation in shade tone or a small air bubble in the glass from one piece to the next. Shade names across the range, including Upton, come from towns and villages around the Herefordshire workshop.
