Fritz Fryer

Fritz Fryer Lighting was founded in 1982 in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, by Fritz Fryer, a former member of the 1960s band the Four Pennies, and his partner Joan, who began by restoring antique light fittings sourced from across the UK and Europe. Karen and Simon Wallis-Smith bought the business in 2004 after visiting the shop while renovating their own cottage, and have since grown it from an antique restoration specialist into a wider British lighting brand, while keeping the original workshop's handmade approach and its restoration and bespoke design service. At Moonlight Design you'll find Fritz Fryer's Hereford and Ledbury ranges, glass globe pendants from medium through to XXL, several with ribbed or skinny ribbed glass shades and IP44 rated bathroom versions, alongside matching Hereford wall lights in the same ribbed and skinny ribbed finishes. Each fitting is handmade in the workshop in Ross-on-Wye rather than mass produced, using metal frames and glass shades finished by hand.
