A Softly Glowing Wall Light

The Upton wall light pairs a rounded white glass shade with a solid brass arm, so it throws a warm, gentle glow rather than a hard beam. Fit it facing up for a soft wash up the wall, or facing down for a pool of light below. Either way it brings its own quiet glamour to a room.

Choosing Your Finish

Antique Brass has a warm, aged tone that suits a period property or a room already leaning traditional. Nickel is cooler and more contemporary, a good match for a pared back scheme. Bronze is dark, almost black, giving the light a moodier, more graphic presence on the wall. Polished Brass is the brightest and shiniest of the four, closer to gold, and reads as a little more formal.

Fritz Fryer has been making lights in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, since 1982, when the business began by restoring antique fittings sourced from across the UK and Europe. The glass shades are still hand blown today, and the metalwork is hand coloured piece by piece, so no two are ever quite identical.

Can I fit this light facing upwards or downwards?
Yes. The Upton wall light can be fitted either way up, so you can use it as an uplighter or a downlighter depending on the effect you want.

Why might my light look slightly different from the photos?
The glass shade is hand blown and the metalwork is hand coloured, so small variations such as tiny air bubbles in the glass or subtle differences in colour are normal and not a fault.
