The Upton pendant wraps a single bulb in a tall, tapered clear glass shade, so the light itself is on full display. It is one of the most popular shapes in the Fritz Fryer range for exactly that reason, simple, versatile, and easy to place.

The Clear Glass

Left completely plain, this glass option suits a scheme where you want the fitting to feel light and unobtrusive. If you would rather diffuse the bulb a little, the same shade shape is also available in ribbed, skinny ribbed and smoked glass.

Made By Fritz Fryer

Fritz Fryer set up in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, in 1982, originally restoring antique lights sourced from the UK and Europe. That restoration background is still visible in how the brand works today, with every glass shade hand blown and every metal finish hand coloured, piece by piece.

No. The pendant takes one E27 bulb, up to 8W LED, which is not included and needs to be bought separately.

Why might my glass shade look slightly different from the photos?
Because the glass is hand blown, small details such as tiny air bubbles or minor shape variations are normal and are part of the handmade process, not a fault.
