Three Lights, One Clean Line
The Upton bar takes the classic three light pendant look and mounts it on a single straight bar, so you get three points of light without three separate ceiling roses. Clear glass shades keep the design open and let the light spread rather than pool.
Three Finishes, One Bar
The bar and fittings come in antique brass, bronze or polished brass. Antique brass has a warm, slightly aged look, polished brass is its brighter, more reflective cousin, and bronze reads darkest and most understated of the three, closer to gunmetal than a true brown bronze. Because each finish is hand coloured, expect small, genuine variation from one bar to the next.
How It Works
Rather than wiring three separate pendants, the bar is hand assembled so all three lights run from a single electrical point. It takes 3 x E27 bulbs, max 8W LED each, not supplied, and is fully dimmable with compatible bulbs and a dimmer switch. The bar itself is 1400mm wide, with a choice of drop heights from 600mm up to 1200mm.
Where It Works Best
This is a kitchen island light through and through, though it works equally well strung along a long dining table. Centre it over the island or table and it reads as one considered fitting rather than three lights competing for attention.
Made By Fritz Fryer
Fritz Fryer set up in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, in 1982, originally restoring old lights sourced from around the UK and Europe. That hands on background carried through into what the workshop makes now: glass still hand blown and metalwork still hand coloured, piece by piece. Expect the odd air bubble or shade variation as a mark of that process rather than a flaw, and look out for shade names borrowed from Herefordshire towns nearby, Ledbury and Wellington among them.

Questions People Ask
Can I return this if I change my mind?
No. Every bar is made to order in your chosen finish, so it is non-returnable unless it arrives faulty or damaged.
How long will it take to arrive?
It is handmade to order in Fritz Fryer's Herefordshire workshop. Exact lead time depends on the current order queue and is confirmed when you place your order.
Can I use this in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is only suitable for dry indoor rooms.
Why might mine look different from the photos?
Because the glass is hand blown and the metalwork hand coloured, small variations such as tiny air bubbles or subtle shade differences are normal, not a fault.
