Fritz Fryer Ledbury Skinny Ribbed Glass Pendant Light - Medium (Various Colour Options)

Fine ribs read differently to wide ones. Where the standard Ledbury Ribbed shade has a handful of bold lines, this Skinny Ribbed version is covered in dozens of narrow ones, giving it a much softer, almost fabric like texture.

The Skinny Ribbed Glass

The shade keeps the same curved, teardrop silhouette as the rest of the Ledbury range, hand blown with closely spaced fine ribbing rather than the wider standard rib. It's available in Antique Brass, Nickel, Bronze or Polished Brass. Antique Brass and Polished Brass both lean warm, with Polished Brass the shinier of the two, Nickel is cooler and more neutral, and Bronze is the darkest, close to matte black.

Where It Works Best

Made By Fritz Fryer

Fritz Fryer began in 1982 in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, restoring antique lights from the UK and Europe before going on to make its own. The glass in every shade is still hand blown and every metal finish hand coloured by hand, so slight variations in the ribbing or the metal tone between pieces are expected rather than a fault. Ledbury takes its name from a Herefordshire market town not far from the Fritz Fryer workshop.

The ribbing on this Skinny Ribbed version is finer and more closely spaced than the standard Ledbury ribbed glass, giving it a softer, more textured look rather than bold, widely spaced lines.

Why might the ribbing look uneven on close inspection?
Each shade is hand blown rather than machine pressed, so the spacing and depth of the ribs can vary slightly from one shade to the next. This is normal for hand blown glass and not a fault.
