A Single Ribbed Glass Pendant, Done Simply

The Ledbury pendant takes the same fine ribbed glass as the Ledbury bar but keeps it to a single light on its own flex. It is a straightforward way to bring some texture into a room without committing to a multi light fitting.

Four Finishes to Choose From

The ribbed shade stays the same across the range, so it is the flex and fitting that changes. Antique brass and polished brass are both warm, with polished brass the brighter of the two, while nickel gives a cooler, more contemporary look. Bronze is the darkest, closer to gunmetal than a true bronze tone. Each finish is hand coloured, so small variation from one pendant to the next is normal.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, max 8W LED, not supplied, and is fully dimmable with a compatible bulb and dimmer switch. The shade measures 140mm in height and 140mm in width, and comes with 1m of black twisted flex and a 6.5cm ceiling plate as standard.

Where It Works Best

Hung singly, it suits a bedside table or reading corner, or in a row of two or three it works well over a kitchen island or dining table. Its size makes it flexible enough for a living room, kitchen, bedroom or dining room.

Since starting out in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, in 1982 restoring antique lights from the UK and Europe, Fritz Fryer has kept the same hands on approach to what it makes now. Glass is still hand blown and metalwork hand coloured, so a slight air bubble or shade variation from one pendant to another is simply part of the process. Ledbury, like the brand's other shade names, is a Herefordshire town near the workshop.

Can I use this in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is only suitable for dry indoor rooms.

Because the glass is hand blown and the metalwork hand coloured, small variations such as tiny air bubbles or subtle shade differences are normal, not a fault.
