A wall light shaped by the branches outside a designer's window
The Trellis wall light takes its organic, twisted form directly from the winter trees Paul Gruer could see outside his own studio window in New Orleans. Those branch like shapes are rendered in hand painted putty patina, finished with a silver leaf accent, for a fitting that reads as sculpture as much as light source.

Each piece is hand painted in putty patina, giving the branch form a soft, weathered tone, with silver leaf detailing that catches the light at certain angles. The muted, natural palette suits interiors built around neutral tones, wood and other organic materials.
How it works
This is a single light wall fitting, and it doesn't come with a bulb, so a separate purchase is needed. We'd suggest having a registered NICEIC electrician carry out the installation.
Where it works best
Its organic, branch like silhouette suits spaces where it can be appreciated as an individual piece, either side of a bed, along a hallway, or as a pair flanking a mirror or piece of artwork. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Flambeau
The Trellis range's twisted branch forms come directly from the view outside Paul Gruer's own studio in New Orleans, the same city where Flambeau's story began when local businessman Joe McKearn discovered Gruer's work in a friend's design studio in late 1999. McKearn licensed Gruer's designs under the Flambeau name from 2000 onward, and it's that close relationship between a designer's everyday surroundings and the finished piece that runs through the whole range. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured Flambeau's designs under licence for the UK, Europe and Middle East, adapted for 220 to 240V wiring and CE certified.
