Flambeau Trellis Single Table Lamp - Putty Patina & Silver Leaf

A sculptural table lamp inspired by winter branches

The Trellis table lamp translates the twisted, organic form of bare winter branches into a hand painted putty patina base and stem, topped with a silver leaf orb element. A hand painted cylinder shade sits above, keeping the light soft while the branch like structure beneath does the visual work.

The putty patina base and stem is hand painted to give it depth and variation rather than a flat, single tone colour, while the silver leaf orb element adds a contrasting metallic accent at the top. It's a muted, organic palette that suits neutral schemes and rooms already working with natural materials.

How it works

This is a freestanding table lamp, so there's nothing to wire in, just position it where you want it and connect it to a socket. It doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one before it's ready to use.

Where it works best

Its branch like silhouette and hand finished detail make it a good match for a console table, sideboard or bedside table, anywhere it can be seen at close range rather than lost in a larger room. It's an indoor lamp throughout.

The story behind Flambeau

By 2017, the Flambeau name that Joe McKearn had begun licensing from designer Paul Gruer in Baton Rouge back in 2000 had grown into a partnership spanning two continents, with McKearn and Elstead Lighting's Jonathan Lucas forming Lucas + McKearn to carry Flambeau and Elstead designs to the US market. It's Gruer's original eye for organic, sculptural form, the same eye that shaped this branch inspired Trellis table lamp, that sits behind all of it, work that first caught McKearn's attention in a friend's New Orleans design studio in late 1999.
