A ceiling pendant with a sculptural, branch like form
The Trellis pendant carries the same organic, twisted branch forms as the rest of the range, inspired by the winter trees designer Paul Gruer could see outside his New Orleans studio. Those shapes are hand painted in putty patina with silver leaf detailing, suspended from the ceiling rather than fixed to a wall or base.

The putty patina is applied by hand across the branch like structure, giving it a soft, weathered depth, while the silver leaf picks out certain details for contrast. It's a quiet, natural palette that works well above a dining table or in an entrance hall where the fitting will be seen from below.
How it works
This is a single light ceiling pendant. No bulb is supplied, so you'll need to source one before it's ready to use. Have it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
Suspended above a dining table, kitchen island or in a hallway with enough ceiling height, its branch like form is best appreciated from below and at a distance where the sculptural detail can be taken in. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Flambeau
Joe McKearn wasn't looking to start a lighting company when he first came across Paul Gruer's work in a friend's New Orleans design studio in late 1999, he simply recognised a striking piece when he saw one. That recognition turned into a licensing agreement in 2000 and, eventually, the Flambeau brand, with Gruer's organic, sculptural style, the same style behind this Trellis pendant, becoming its signature. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has brought Flambeau's designs to the UK under licence, adapted for 220 to 240V wiring and CE certified.
