Flambeau Swirl 1 Light Table Lamp - Bone White

A sculptural table lamp with a textured cube base

The Swirl table lamp takes the same sculpted, swirling motif as the wall light versions and sets it on a textured black cube base, crafted from cast resin and steel. An antique white parchment shade sits above it, giving the light a softer, more diffused quality than the sculpted element beneath.

Antique white finish

The sculpted element is finished in antique white, a paler, more textured look that contrasts against the black cube base beneath it. The parchment shade above continues the antique white tone, so the whole piece reads as one considered composition rather than mismatched parts.

How it works

This is a freestanding table lamp, so there's no wiring or wall mounting involved, simply position it and connect it to a socket. It doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order before it's ready to use.

Where it works best

Its sculptural base and soft, diffused light make it a natural fit for a console table, sideboard or bedside table where it can be appreciated up close, as well as a side table in a living room. It's an indoor lamp throughout.

The story behind Flambeau

Paul Gruer spent his early career designing fine jewellery before turning his attention to lamps, sconces and chandeliers shaped by the character of New Orleans, work that caught the attention of local businessman Joe McKearn in late 1999. McKearn secured a licence to produce and market Gruer's designs under the Flambeau name from 2000, and the brand has been putting sculptural, statement lighting like this Swirl table lamp into distinctive homes ever since. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has brought Flambeau's designs to the UK under licence, adapted for 220 to 240V wiring and CE certified.
