A compact sculptural wall light with a hand applied gold leaf finish
The Swirl small wall light carries the same cast resin, swirling motif as the rest of the range, scaled down and finished in an antiqued gold leaf rather than the paler bone white option. A rectangular linen shade sits above the resin form, keeping the light soft rather than exposing it directly.
Gold leaf finish
The antiqued gold leaf gives the resin motif a warmer, richer look than the bone white version, catching the light differently depending on the angle it's viewed from. It suits a room already working with warmer metals, brass, bronze or antique gold, and reads well in both a residential setting and a hotel or restaurant interior.
How it works
This is a single light wall fitting, and no bulb is included, so you'll want to add one to your order. Installation should always be carried out by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where it works best
Being the smaller of the two Swirl wall lights, it suits tighter spots where the larger version wouldn't fit comfortably, either side of a mirror, in a narrower hallway, or spaced along a run of wall in a corridor or landing. It's an indoor fitting throughout.
The story behind Flambeau
Behind the Flambeau name is a partnership that began almost by accident. In 2011, Louisiana businessman Joe McKearn shared an airport shuttle to the Dallas Market Center with Jonathan Lucas, managing director of British manufacturer Elstead Lighting, and the two got talking. Flambeau itself had launched a decade earlier around the sculptural lamp and chandelier designs of Paul Gruer, a former jewellery designer working out of New Orleans. That chance conversation led to Elstead manufacturing Flambeau's designs under licence from 2012 onward, bringing pieces like this Swirl wall light to the UK on 220 to 240V wiring with full CE certification.
