Flambeau Swirl 1 Light Large Wall Light - Bone White

A sculptural wall light with a hand finished, antiqued texture

The Swirl large wall light is built around a cast resin motif with a swirling, sculpted texture, given an antiqued bone white finish that reads more like a piece of wall art than a standard fitting. A rectangular linen shade sits above it, softening the light rather than exposing the resin form directly.

In Bone White, the resin motif has a soft, chalky texture that suits pared back interiors, whether that's a plain painted wall or something with more architectural detail behind it. It works equally well in a residential hallway or living room as it does in a hotel lobby or restaurant looking for a considered, textural accent.

How it works

This is a single light wall fitting, and it doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. As with all our lighting, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation.

Where it works best

Its scale and sculptural form make it a genuine feature piece rather than background lighting, so it suits a spot where it'll actually be seen, a hallway, a stairwell, either side of a fireplace, or a feature wall in a living or dining room. It's an indoor fitting throughout.

The story behind Flambeau

Flambeau's story starts in New Orleans in late 1999, when local businessman Joe McKearn came across a strikingly original table lamp in a friend's design studio and learned it was the work of Paul Gruer, a former fine jewellery designer who had been shaping custom lamps, sconces and chandeliers around the character of the city. McKearn licensed Gruer's designs under the Flambeau name, and from 2000 onward the brand became known for lighting that reads as a genuine piece of design in its own right. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has manufactured Flambeau's designs under licence for the UK, Europe and Middle East, adapting them to 220 to 240V wiring and CE certification, including this sculpted Swirl range.
