A star shaped base with a gold leafed finish
The Dominique table lamp starts from a star shaped base finished in gold leaf, and rises through a black and cream striped metal stem to a matching striped shade. A gold leafed finial finishes the top, carrying the gold tone from base to summit.

Gold leaf covers the star shaped base and the finial, while the stem and shade both carry a black and cream stripe that adds a graphic, tailored look rather than a plain block colour. It's a finish that suits a room already working with black accents, whether in furniture, frames, or soft furnishings, and it reads as more considered than a plain single tone lamp.
How it works
Dominique is a single light table lamp, and no bulb is included, so add one to your order before it's ready to switch on. As a table lamp it needs no wiring, just plug it into a socket wherever you'd like the light.
Where it works best
The distinct stripe and star shaped base make it a piece worth noticing, so it works well on a bedside table, a hallway console, or a shelf where the pattern can be seen rather than hidden behind other objects. It's intended for indoor use throughout.
The story behind Flambeau
Before Flambeau existed, Paul Gruer was a fine jewellery designer in New Orleans, working custom lamps, sconces and chandeliers into the character of galleries and interior projects around the city. In late 1999, Baton Rouge businessman Joe McKearn spotted one of Gruer's table lamps in a friend's studio and arranged a licensing deal to produce and market the designs under the Flambeau name from 2000 onward. That same attention to pattern and finish carries through to pieces like Dominique, with its striped stem and shade. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has brought Flambeau's designs to the UK under licence, built to 220 to 240V wiring and CE certified.
