The story behind Feiss

Teva stands apart within the Feiss range as one of its more sculptural wall lights, its mounting structure drawn from the fluid lines of a vintage scale rather than any period specific style. The brand behind it dates to 1955, when Murray Feiss opened a small lighting business in the South Bronx, New York, built around imported European porcelain figurines wired into lamp bases and shades hand sewn by his mother, Rose. Three generations of family ownership grew that business into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, and now sitting within Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss across the UK and Europe, adapting collections including Teva, shown here in a cooler Polished Nickel, for 220 to 240V electrical systems.
