The story behind Feiss

A simple spherical shape and exposed lamping define the Tabby collection, a modern pairing that stands in contrast to Feiss's own beginnings in 1955, when Murray Feiss wired imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases in a small South Bronx workshop and his mother Rose hand sewed the shades. Three generations of family ownership carried that workshop to become one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, its heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe, adapting collections such as Tabby, here in this pendant form, for 220 to 240V electrical systems.
