Feiss Roscoe Single Small Wall Lantern - Textured Black

A compact coastal lantern for a front door or porch

The Roscoe single small wall lantern takes the rectangular silhouette of a traditional coach lantern and gives it a cleaner, more contemporary treatment. Striated detailing frames a recessed panel of White Opal Glass, and a rectangular handle detail on top finishes off the transitional design. It's the smallest fitting in the Roscoe range, sized for a front door, side entrance or spaced in matching pairs rather than making one big architectural statement.

Textured Black finish

The Textured Black finish has a matt, slightly grained surface rather than a glossy one, so it reads as understated against brick, render, timber cladding or stone. The White Opal Glass panel softens the light coming through it, giving an even glow rather than showing a bare bulb.

How it works

This lantern doesn't come with a bulb, so you'll need to add one to your order. As with any outdoor fitting, we'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician handles the installation and checks that the wall mounting and cable entry are properly weathersealed.

With an IP44 rating, it's built for covered outdoor spots such as porches, canopied entrances and outbuildings, rather than positions fully open to driving rain. Its compact size suits a front door, a side gate, or a run of matching lanterns along a wall.

The story behind Feiss

Feiss traces its history to 1955 and a small South Bronx lighting business started by Murray Feiss, who imported European porcelain figurines to wire into lamp bases, finishing each with a shade his mother Rose sewed by hand. Three generations on, that family business had grown into one of America's best known decorative lighting names, covering chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, its design heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Elstead Lighting has represented the brand across the UK and Europe since 2012, adapting its ranges to 220 to 240V systems. Roscoe reworks the classic coach lantern shape into something cleaner and more geometric, trading fussier period detail for the crisper lines of a modern coastal lantern.
