A flush fitting for lower ceilings, without losing the Remy character
The Remy 2 light flush fitting brings the same French Arts and Crafts inspired circle motif to a design that sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging down on a cable. It's built for rooms where a pendant would sit too low, without giving up the hand made iron detailing that defines the wider Remy collection.
Heritage Bronze and Parisienne Gold
As with the rest of the collection, the fitting body is finished in Heritage Bronze and the decorative circle in Parisienne Gold, with a Bronze Organza shade over each of the two light sources to soften the output. The flush mount means the detailing reads more as a ceiling feature than a hanging piece, so it suits rooms where you want interest overhead but not extra height taken up.
How it works
This fitting takes two bulbs, and neither is included, so you'll want to add a pair to your order. Because it sits flush to the ceiling, we'd always recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation, particularly with the ceiling rose and wiring hidden close to the surface.
Where it works best
This is a good option for bedrooms, landings or any room with a lower ceiling where a pendant isn't practical. It's an indoor fitting, so it belongs in living spaces rather than anywhere exposed to damp or weather.
The story behind Feiss
Long before Elstead Lighting began adapting Feiss designs for the UK and Europe in 2012, converting them to 220 to 240V wiring, the brand had already spent decades building a name for itself in America. It started in 1955, when Murray Feiss set up in the South Bronx wiring imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases finished with shades his mother, Rose, sewed by hand, and grew over three generations into one of the country's best known decorative lighting names, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, now under Visual Comfort & Co. Remy takes its decorative circle motif and hand made iron construction directly from the French Arts and Crafts scene, adapted here to a close fitting ceiling design.
